Please see the NationStates 2 forums (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=1228) for planned upgrades and improvements in NationStates' (eventual) successor. Unfortunately NationStates' code is in such a state upgrading it would essentially require rewriting it, at which point it would start to be NationStates 2.
