We can use general. We just have to log off a lot. It's somewhat annoying at first, but one gets used to it, less so if one uses anything other than default settings for the skin and threads per page.

Or you can use the ‘New Posts’ feature to see what people have been posting recently, albeit throughout the entire of NS, not just NS:G.
