If you try logging into a nation using an incorrect password then one of the messages that appears on the screen is a link to a 'Forgotten your password? help facility. Click on that, and you can get a new password set for the nation and sent to whatever email address you listed in that nation's settings.
You're only "screwed" if you didn't set an email adress for that nation, or if you did set an address but no longer have access to that inbox.
