Help me!
I'm the founder of the region I'm in. However, for a week now, my regional influence has been going down and down: Eminence Grise to Enforcer, to Dealmaker and now I'm an Instigator! How can this be possible?

Your influence is not decreasing, assuming you're staying within your region. The definition (http://www.nationstates.net/pages/influence.html) is quite clear.
What's probably happening is that your region is growing, and thus the share of regional influence is being shared amongst more nations. It's not a measure of your power, it's a measure of your relationship with regionmates. That's why the highest influence rating is held by nations alone in their region. They have literally nobody to influence, so they're the king of all they survey ... which ain't much.

That's possible, 4 nations joined my region in 2 days.
