I have a puppet nation with which I cannot post here, but its name is The Free Land of Jofesh. Earlier today I got the death penalty issue, and chose to abolish the death penalty. I check again after it went into effect to find out that my political freedoms were lowered from 'world benchmark' to 'average' and that it says: 'extreme political groups are outlawed'. Is this the right result for this issue? how is this possible? was there a mistake?

It´s probably due to other issues...

You should have read the issue text more carefully. The people of your nation wanted the death penalty. By going against that wish, you squashed political freedoms. And yes, that's the proper descriptor. Doesn't seem quite right, but that's the result associated with the option you picked.

Ok, thanks Hack! quite the blow that was (from world benchmark to average), I was surprised. I'll make sure to read the issues a little more carefully I guess. Sorry if this was a stupid question to put on technical forum.
