Finding national Information

Is there a source that we can query to find information about our nations? I know that the UN listing will rank the nations in each region according to a particular statistic, but is there a way of finding our what that statistic is?
It seems that some of the information can be gotten from the database
(example: http://gusto.jactivism.com/steadystate.htm for calculation the nations wealth) but are there other query engines available to those of us attempting to manage our nations?

Lifted from the International Incidents Consolidated Sticky...
Pipian Budgetary Calculator (http://www.pipian.com/stuffforchat/gdpcalc.php?nation=your nation name) (Note: Replace your nation name with your nation's name to get your results)
Thrace-Taliteann Budgetary Calculator (http://members.fortunecity.com/thracetailteann/html/gnp.html)
Colony Calculator (http://twr.1colony.com/ver8/calc8.0.html) (I'm not sure of the name).
ThirdGeek Budgetary Calculator (http://nseconomy.thirdgeek.com)
None of these are official, by the way.

Actually I'm trying to get other information than just budgets. Are there any other queries that will give info that are used for the UN statistics?
We just had the military/capita listing reciently and seveal in the LMM region were curious as to actual military sizes.

You can decide that for yourself; the usual accepted limit is around 2% of your population (peacetime) and 5% wartime.

o.k. so where do we get the numbers from??
I site todays UN listing:
The Highest Unemployment Rates in Lurking Mastermind
UN experts studied the ratings of daytime television chat shows to determine which nations have the highest rates of unemployment.
1. The Free Land of Masiq Civil Rights Lovefest
...
38. The Cosmic Protectorate of De Dragon Father Knows Best State So I take this as good news, my unemployment is down, lower than the top of the list for our region.
But when comparing the unemployment on NSDossier:Masiq: Unemployment Rate: 7.72%
De Dragon: Unemployment Rate: 10.5%
and the trend is similar if not higher on NSTracker:Masiq: Unemployment Rate: 15.46%
De Dragon: Unemployment Rate: 20.05%
NSTracker Comparison (http://peachiekeen.net/nstracker/index.php?nation=masiq&nation2=De+Dragon&nation3=&nation4=&nation5=&nation6=)
So is the UN listing is what? Incorrect? Backwards?
Or are both the calculators incorrect?
Is there a way that we, the players of nationstates, can get a better idea than the occasional ranking about the status of our nations?

So is the UN listing is what? Incorrect? Backwards?Well... the UN Listing is the official listing compiled by the game. NSTracker is a third-party, unsupported website.
Which do you think is official?

Which do you think is official?True (and I just spent several hours last night reading the 27 page influence thread :headbang: :D ) so I know you like to keep some thing vague.
But are there ways for us to get generalized information about our nations?
Or is the random UN rankings all we get?
We've various nations in Lurking Mastermind region attmpting different strategies and it's tough to see how some of them are working out.
