Population *Stop* or *Reverse* feature?

I was wondering (not knowing how much code work this would take) if a population *stop* or *reverse* feature could be added somewhere like settings. Soem RPers would like to RP with a fixed or lower than current population rate for statistical and or logistical purposes. While albeit, you could RP as your population lower than what it says on the NS main page, I think this could be a useful feature for the game.

I know it's possible to tweak a specific nation to go backwards, and that if a nation's population is set to a negative value, it will continue to grow negatively, but I don't know about coding it in as an option.
That being said, the nature of RP here allows for people to ignore their population (when ignoring it would "hurt" the player). Most people aren't going to be fine with claiming a population twice what the page shows, but if someone wants to stop their growth (or alter the factor; I knew someone who claimed the "million" meant "hundred"), it's not a big deal; just make sure the people you're playing with know (a note in the sig might suffice).
For instance, one of my puppets has a game population in the billions, but a role-played population of about 6 or so. People who regularly interact with it know this, so it's no big deal.

I realize that you could RP a population to be less than it actually it is, but I would like for my nationpage to reflect my RPs at least a little bit.

Create an NSwiki (http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/Special:Recentchanges) page to reflect what you want your nation to be, and change your 'homepage' in the Forum User CP to point to that instead. It's a whole lot easier for you to change a link than it is for us to change the game.
Lots more flexibility there too - you're not limited to just a national animal, currency, slogan and flag

Yeah Ive got an article there. I didnt know how much of a problem that would be to create for the codemonkeys.

You're apparently missing my point. Our coders won't have to do a thing. You can change your own link in User CP / Edit Profile / Home Page URL, and/or add it to your forum signature.
You create the wiki page, you post the link, you tell RP buddies to click it. We do nothing. Your problem is still solved.

I'm pretty sure that's inaccurate.
And no, I'm not changing the game.

Eh, Sal did it once with a bit of custom code. I believe the nation was "Tyrone".

While it wouldn't be tough to code this feature (And it's been considered before). It was vetoed, so won't be done. I'm afraid you'll have to stick with the wiki.
