Names!!

Just now I wanted to make a new nation, and all the cool names I tried out (about 30!) are all 'reserved for a former nation'!

I think that if a nation has been inactive for over a year, the owner certainly won't start playing again with it. So I think such nations, unless they have founded a region which still exists, should get deleted.

I once posted a similar topic on this forum, and apparently there are problems with Jolt about deleting really old nations' forum accounts or something.
But couldn't you at least do this with nations which didn't have forum accounts?

No such animal. All nations have a forum account created when they are, even if they never post. This simply cannot be done until we can get things properly synchronized with Jolt.

Is there any hope of that happening sometime?

Sadly, it seems they're taking their sweet time.

Trust me, we'd all love for this to be fixed.

You would be incorrect. We've had quite a lot of 3 and 4 year-dead nations being restored recently, and 1-to-2 year restorations are common.

Should we ever be able to implement this plan (and we'd like to!), the agreed-upon timeline is 18 months. But like Hack said, the issue isn't in our hands at present.

It's made all the worse by the invaders and defenders shedding nation names every few days or weeks, to keep out of each other's dossiers.

Till it gets fixed it's High Glorpistan435 for you!

Yeah, I had that problem too, and wound up with my current name. Now I can't figure out why nobody takes me seriously. ;)

Glorpistan is still available, as is High Glorpistan. Honestly, sometimes I wonder about you lot, missing the obvious winners.

Although several of my newer puppets didn't receive the usual validation emails for their (presumed-to-exist) accounts...
(And yes, I did check in my 'Junk' folder...)
