I am a president of region called Srbija [Serbia in English]...
And would like to ask why there isnt a Republic of Serbia flag in the list at startup when a new nation is created?
There is quite a number of states here and the game is getting more poppular...
I would aprecciate if this could be corrected...

I gather that the flags available are for countries that existed when the game was created. Don't know how difficult it would be to add new ones, but you do know that you can upload your own, don't you? For instance I use the Montenegrin flag for my nation (I just think it's neat) and that isn't in the list, either.

This would need to be asked in game play, I believe, or maybe even technical, but not in Moderation.

But then again, I am not a mod.

Every nation flies a flag, which can be selected in the Settings view of the standard Nation Page. A drop-down list provides access to virtually all current national flags to choose from as the signature standard of your nation. Many nations use the Default flag which is in RL, the Aboriginal Flag. Max Barry, the creator of NationStates, is an Aussie, which may explain this choice.

There are known exceptions to the list of standard flags, including:Azerbaijan, Djibouti, Ecuador, Equatorial Guinea, Faroe Islands, Fiji, Georgia, Haiti, Ivory Coast, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Libya, Maldives, Nepal, Northern Marianas, Oman, Samoa, Serbia, Montenegro, Tajikistan, Tonga, Tunisia, Turkmenistan, Tuvalu, Uzbekistan, Vatican City, and Yemen.Obviously, there are many more nations than default flags. That nice fellow Max Barry resolved that by giving nations the chance to upload a flag of their very own.

Serbia existed as part of Yugoslavia when the game was created yet there isnt a Yugoslavian flag either...Now we regained our long lost independance,and returned to old traditional flag.
I dont think it would be much of a problem for Max Barry ore someone else who does this to add some more flags[ to ad 20 or so more flags to gameplay when we already have so many]...Certainly it would not crash the hard-drives...
Ofcourse i know how to put my picture into nations box but some people new to da game are not so good with english or familiar with uploading procedure.It would be great if they could start the game with their own national flag, then with (*@^@!$

If you were restricted AT ALL in loading up your own flag, you might have a point. One that wouldn't hold up as you pay nothing for this site and have no real rights here.

But as it stands, you should be perfectly able to upload your own picture of Serbia's flag, or Serbia's flag modified in some way, whatever suits your fancy.

This problem, something that has inspired thousands of people to customize their own flags, is answered for you. The end.
