Is anyone else having any problems with NS Wiki. I keep getting 'A database error has occurred'

Yeah... that's a common issue for everyone trying to access NSWIKI. It's a problem with their server.

Any idea if it goes through bad patches, cos it's really annoying.

Once again, this is the same for everybody and is not unusual. Just continue pressing refresh until such time as it loads - it will do so [eventually]. This problem is unlikely to be resolved in the foreseeable future.

Dude NS Wiki isn't a part of NationStates. It is a third party website and if you've ever read the front page you'll see the notice saying so in bold.

don't worry about it its the server and it happens periodically. Just wait a little while and try to get on and it should be fine.

Today, for some magical reason, a whole day passed that thing showing its ugly head, altough I was logged in this morning for one hour and nearly all afternoon. :) I don't think this will last, though. I'm expecting to see that error again by tomorrow morning. Yet, today, I had plenty of time to finish my Germanistan article and the one about Eden-IV characters. It was wonderful. You can come see if you want to (Look for "Characters of Eden-IV". The pic for Lydia is just beautiful).

The question here seems to have been answered, so I'm going to hijack the thread.

My problem is that every time I try to access NSwiki, I get this:
The connection has timed out
The server at ns.goobergunch.net is taking too long to respond.
* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.
* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
I've tried almost every few minutes that I've been on the Web since about Tuesday.

I've also tried to get in through IE7, but that gets me:
Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

Most likely causes:
You are not connected to the Internet.
The website is encountering problems.
There might be a typing error in the address.

Under more information it lists some things that could be wrong. I've ruled out all off them.

Basically Goober's server / host exceeds its capacity frequently. If I edit pages around 11 PM PDT (UTC-7) it seems to work. But during peak hours, I sometime have to fight others to get it to work.
