I was pretty board and was scrolling through stickies when I stumbled across this:

Homework: Requests for assistance with homework in any forum, are forbidden.

I was just curious what the reasoning behind this was.

There have been a HUGE number of threads begging for help with college level classes in here lately. This is not a tutorial.

Go to your professors and ask for them to put you into contact with a tutor. Do NOT ask people here to do your work for you.

Any more of these threads will be treated as spam and the appropriate warnings issued.

The bolded part is the most relevant bit, I believe.
