Hey guys,

My nation has its tax rate set at 100%. I have tried to select every anti-tax option in every issue I get, but it doesn't budge... is this a bug or just something I have to continue to work at?

Grand thanks in advance,
Pilot

You may need to take a more pro-economy stance, or possibly give them more freedoms

Continue to work at - particularly while bewaring 'Hidden' tax raisers (Everything that boosts $Usually_Government_Controlled thing, i.e. education, military, police forces...), which can effordlessly get your taxes to stay in 100% land despite one reducing 'em everytime the reduction is explicitly mentioned.

There's also at least one taxkiller issue out there - offers you to slash military spending to get taxes down or something -, reducing them to zero in one go, but of course, it does the same to your military spending.

This said, judging by your xml feed, that's not a problem for you.

There's also the one with the option of giving folks a tax cut to distract them from a sex scandal within your government.

Your tax rate is probably actually over 100%, but the game won't show you that unless you're a mod.

As in, the people work at a job, and then pay the government more than they earn for working there. Lol
