My nation, Strator is a few hours older than my puppet (Kurpsegrad) and my friends nation, freedomnessnessness, yet For some reason Strator did not increase in population yesterday and I am wondering if it was based upon one of my issue choices or if it was just a site problem

No issue affects population growth. None.

There's a couple possibilities here. The most likely is that you either having the timing wrong or misremembered your population. The less likely possibility is that your nation is no longer connected to a region. Were your issues processed?
