In the discription of my nation the tax rate is way out of control. I did not intend for it to be this high when I created the nation. Is there a way to go in and change the rate? any help would be appreciated.

Any decision you make in an issue will be greatly exaggerated in its effect on your nation. Undoubtedly you wanted somewhat of a tax rate, so the game made it enormous. Answering issues designed to lower taxes is the only real way to change it.
