[Moderated Status] Why aren't my posts appearing?

New nations may find that their posts aren't showing up right away, and they're getting a message about "Moderated Status". This is a known issue, and does not need to be reported.

It's not so much a bug as a feature, added to the Jolt forums due to massive abuse of their forums by people trying to spamvertise products. The new spam filter theoretically only affects users with less than 10 posts, and moderates any post containing particular words (including sell, nokia, viagra etc etc). The spammers selling mobile phone crap keep that moderation queue full to overflowing. Jolt tells us that they get up to 900 such spam posts a day.

Since it doesn't look like it's going to go away, Forum mods are hitting the Approval Queue several times a day and auto-approving everything in the NationStates forums (well, almost everything. Not duplicates or spam.) We're also trying to talk Jolt into removing this 'feature', at least from our members and/or forums. In short, we're doing everything we can to alleviate this problem, and notification doesn't add to our urgency.

Please don't post threads telling us that you can't post threads. We know you can't. We'll approve them several times a day, most days, so you don't need to do anything else.

A further note, if you find this happening to one of your posts, do not repost; it just makes more work for us. We'll approve your post as soon as humanly possible, and having to delete duplicates is a hassle we really don't need.

If you want to bypass the whole problem, head down to the spam forum (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=29) and post meaningless posts in meaningless threads until your post count has risen to 11. You won't have any issues after that.

(Please don't tell them we sent you. Just post "+1" or something.)
