New Game Improvement Idea's

1st add in a Military thing like how you got Economy, Political Freedoms, & Cival Rights. The way this will work will depend on how you vote on Military based issue's. This will allow people (Players) to see which way you swing towards a Military style force.

2nd add in a Police thing. This is gonna work the same way as the idea right above this one. Just this one will be based off of Police issue's that you vote on.

3rd have it set-up for players so after they get so many citizens, they can do a new survey like all players do when they create an account. This is so if their views change over time, they can go into that old survey & change it. This will allow them to start getting certain issue's that was not available to them before. Or have a system set-up where you have a few different groups as well where you got issue's for different styles of countries & some that are for everyone in General. A player will know what group of issue's they are at that time, & know what the other groups of issue's are that they can pick from later on. They will only be allowed to change their issue group area once (x1) every 1 Billion citizens.

4th this is for Regions that get big. For Regions with over 25 members, have it where the Founder & UN Delegate can organize sub Regions within the Region. A sub Region will be allowed to have a max of 10 members in it & will be governed by a Mayor who will be appointed by the other members in the sub Region. Then the Mayor may appoint a Vice Mayor to help run the sub Region. Then once there is at least 3 sub Regions within the Region, all the Mayors of the sub Regions will form the Regions Supreme Court which will be allowed to over rule decisions made by the Founder & UN Delegate by vote. If any vote comes out as a draw, 1 Vice Mayor will be randomly picked to vote on the issue at hand to be passed or vetoed. Also all Mayors of a sub Region must be UN Members, & will have 33% more voting power in the UN. All Vice Mayors also have to be UN members & will have 25% more voting power in the UN.

5th players should have the date they created their nation posted on their Nations towards the bottom along with a thing of them being online & profile information if they want to add any!

Thanks & hope you guys like some of my idea's for further improving the game & hopefully you guys have some idea's to futher improving the idea's I have just given. Thanks!

Don't take this personally, but I'm going to crap all over your ideas.

Requires new code, and a great deal of it, thus it won't happen. At least not until NS2.

3rd have it set-up for players so after they get so many citizens, they can do a new survey like all players do when they create an account. This is so if their views change over time, they can go into that old survey & change it. This will allow them to start getting certain issue's that was not available to them before. Pointless. Your nation is shaped by the way you deal with issues. If you want a wholly different way of playing, start a new nation.

No offense but this is just plain stupid. I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish, but I'm betting it would be better served by people creating a new region and roleplaying an alliance with the old.

5th players should have the date they created their nation posted on their Nations towards the bottom along with a thing of them being online & profile information if they want to add any!

New code, and no real need for it. You can judge the age of a nation by its population.

Thanks & hope you guys like some of my idea's for further improving the game & hopefully you guys have some idea's to futher improving the idea's I have just given. Thanks!

I want to reiterate, I'm only crapping on the ideas, not on you. AFAIK, new features will not be coded, and especially code won't be rewritten. It's enough work for the mods to add new issues and handle UN resolutions.
That said, you will very likely enjoy NS2, when (and if) it comes out.

Military and police spending %ages are already included in the XML feed. (http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/nationdata.cgi/nation=NATION)

Actually, I wouldn't mind that, although I really, really doubt it's going to happen.

Or by the XML feed. Nation age and date of creation is near the bottom of the feed in Unix time.

Oh, I see. It was my understanding that nstracker made numbers up out of thin air. That's really cool.

OK you have a few good ideas in a heap of unusefullness. I like the Military catygory idea it would be easier since you have a code to base it on (the civil rights, political freedom, economy code) but everything else is either good for NS2 or just strange like the subregion idea. You can have colonys but sub regions that would be a MAJOR code alteration.

1st wanna thank everyone on their idea's towards the new improvements I have stated.

2nd some of the idea's I do understand would be best to be added into the NS2 version of the game. So at least in the long run it will help give a few more idea's in that area at least.

3rd the Military idea would not be too hard to code into the game since it will be using some current code in the game as is, just some redoing of that code. Another thing that can be added into the category is a percentage of your citizens you have that are in the military depending on which way your nation is voting on towards military selected issues. Plus also have a total military count like you have for citizens as well so you know how big of a military standing force you have as well.

New idea's added in:
1st idea is for making the jobs of Moderators easier. Ok instead of allowing players to have more than 1 nation, but only 1 in in the UN, make it where players can have only 1 nation period. If players share the same ISP, then they must report it to Nation States Staff or face having their Nation deleted.

2nd idea is also for Moderators as well which is a seperate page that list all names of the Moderators, including those who are Forum Moderators. Depending on which level of Staff member they are will depend on which color their names will show up on the list. This is so players can have an easier access to the Moderators of the game to reporting bugs or other problems within the game. The seperate page will be broken down into 2 list for Game Moderators & Forum Moderators as well, plus a special symbol next to their names to show if they are online or offline.

Thanks & as usual, please tell me what you think of my idea's!

Uh, your first one would kill off most of the regulars, including me, and some modertors. Not likely to ever make it.

We already have a list of mods, it's right here (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=9451618&postcount=1).

added into the NS2 version of the game.We have a NS2 forum for that.3rd the Military idea would not be too hard to code into the game since it will be using some current code in the game as is, just some redoing of that code. Another person who has NO idea what code is all about, or how difficult it is to retrofit new stuff into an existing game.so you know how big of a military standing force you have
You can already do this on your own. See the RP forums. make it where players can have only 1 nation period.No.If players share the same ISP, then they must report it to Nation States Staff or face having their Nation deleted. So all 15 million AOL users have to clear it with us first?a seperate page that list all names of the Moderators,
We already have this.players can have an easier access to the Moderators of the game to reporting bugs or other problems within the game.We already have this. It's called the Technical foruma special symbol next to their names to show if they are online or offline. What possible difference could this make? When I'm working, I'm already working. When I'm playing, I don't want you bothering me.Thanks & as usual, please tell me what you think of my idea's!They pretty much suck. Sorry.

plus a special symbol next to their names to show if they are online or offline. As someone who has set their profile to "invisible" (and is thus always shown as offline), I really don't want anything like this.

We're accessable enough as is.
