Influence Busters

I've recently invaded a region, and now that I'm gathering influence, someone has made 10 puppets named Influence buster 1-10 they are eating up my influence, and if I kick them out, it will eat up my influence, plus they will just make more.

Can they do that?

I can't find the link right now but I think that one of the mods stated that puppet span wouldn't actually lower your influence (but don't quote me on that one :) )

Any recent arrival can be ejected at no cost, just like it says in the influence rules (http://www.nationstates.net/pages/influence.html).

I've linked the puppetmaster with the ruling.

I can confirm that from personal experience. I've invaded a region that has mostly long-term residents and I can't boot any of them without serious cost, if at all. But I've booted every defender they've sent in with no apparent draining.

And I once witnessed an invader booting hundreds of puppets and still gaining influence by the next update (this was long before the ruling on puppet spam).

Funny... I don't seem to remember anything about the delegates of regions with more nations having less Influence than the delegates of regions with fewer. Anyway, Influence is relative, so if you're an Enforcer while everyone else is a Vassal, it'll be the equivalent of being a Superpower with everyone else being Eminence Grise. Or...something.
