I could code a php script that would actually check the dimentions of the image, not just theblood image size. i mena, I could compress an image to be pretty big and keep the image really small. HUGE if it were just a blank white image, because of how JPG's and loss compression work. I could also make a HUGE file that is below the requiremeants.

BTW, I know that game is in PERL, but making one PHP page wouldn't hurt anything.. and if you need it in PERL because of global classes or functions that need to be run on each page that are in PERL, I could always write the psuedocode and pass it off to one of your developers. I know PERLl, but not as good as PHP, and not good enough to do this.

I dunno, it's a problem that should be addressed, and one that I can. If you're intrestd, email me.

*NOT A MOD*

Dude, as far as I'm concerned, only mods and admin can have avatars. Althoug if normal members can have avatars that would be great. I am not a mod and they can always tell you otherwise.

The game and the forums are two different animals. We've no plans to allow avatars on the forums, and the only images allowed in the game are flags. At this point, your post seems to be a solution in search of a non-existent problem.

Not te forums. The game. I am referring to the nation flag. from what i have read and experianced, this tests file size and not diminsion.

You are correct that we occasionally have someone who abuses the flag size by using jpeg compression to make a huge flag. When that happens (probably no more than once a month, likely about once a quarter), we delete the flag and tell the nation to use a smaller flag.

We're fine with flags that are 300 x 200 or so. It's not a problem that needs solving. Thanks for the offer, though.
