New nation, conflicting in forums with old nation.
Hello there,
I have just created a new nation, called Mu_-_Mu, and set the email account to cosmicthoughts@gmail.com which I have used in the past for a long dead nation called Hirotan Protectorate.
Having received my email inviting me to confirm my account, I click on it and it's fine. However, I cannot log in. I ask for a new password, and it sends to gmail, but for Hirotan protectorate.
Is there any way to sort this out?
Thanks in advance.

I ask for a new password, and it sends to gmail, but for Hirotan protectorate.
Once you go to Jolt for a new password, it's out of our hands. NS - Jolt password syncronization only works as long as the NS side is managing things. From our side you look fine, and there's nothing we can do to improve it.

I had the same problem with this nation when it began. Even asked Jolt for a new password, but that only allowed me into the non-NS forums. I put in a GH request, and one of the mods sent me another validation email. For some reason, this account now works.
I created this nation before the most recent Jolt upgrade, and asked Jolt for a password then. My GH request happened just after the upgrade. I'm not sure whether that would have been a factor.
Okay, how about this for a workaround. I've created another account on jolt called Mu Mu, which works fine, but lacks access rights to Nationstates forums.
If you can grant it access that'll do the job fine.

Only accounts created during the nation creation process can post in the NationStates forum. I'm trying to tell you, Hirota - we're not Jolt admins. We can't grant NS access to Jolt-created accounts under any circumstances.
Don't use Jolt's tools. They won't help you. If you want to try the method suggested by The Remnants of Enn, we can do that. It's the best suggestion I've heard.
<shrugs> It's worth a try, I guess :)
