Re-founding: Getting a New Founder

I hope I'm posting in the right place now.
If my region is re-founded or re-created, does every nation go back to 'Minnow' regional influence when they re-enter the the re-founded region??
If this is the case then why not just go off and start a new region?? or do regions do this just because they're attached to their regions name??
Also, are all UN endorsements lost as well?
Thank You.

1: I'm not exactly sure. But probably yes. Unless there's some hidden code.
2: Probably cause they are attached to their region names.
3: Not exactly sure. It's probably a good bet that the will be lost.

1. Your question is meaningless as phrased. Read the Influence (http://www.nationstates.net/pages/influence.html) page for all we're going to say on the subject.
2. Your question is meaningless as phrased. There are many methods of playing the game, and probably just as many reasons for doing things. Influence is but one small component.
3. Possibly, but not necessarily. Experiment.
Is there a difference, Influence-wise, between re-founding a region and starting a new one? I had ASSumed it would be the same.
As for #2, my region recently restarted itself. It wasn't a true refounding because the old region is still there, but we started the new region because we wanted the security of an active founder, and we kept as close to the old name as possible because we DO like the name. Influence wasn't even on our minds at the time. But I do kind of miss being an "Instigator". :p

I'm guessing that it depends on which update the region is deleted in. If it is the major update, the one where endorsements are recalc'd, you lose them. But if it's the minor update, and the region is named the same, and you come back before the major update, I would speculate that you might keep them.
