We have no control over the color of the editor. If you want it changed, bring it up with Jolt.

I see... it's unfortunate

Is the text editor's bgcolor a really dark grey for everyone?

Yes. Yes it is.
And I can't remember anyone else ever complaining about it.

Or use some user CSS file that overrides it (see your browser's documentation for more details).

You can't change the skin on Jolt and have it work in the NS area. It's an automatic override. These are the NS colors, and if you're browsing the NS area, you get the NS colors.

Mine is the same color as the background everywhere else on the page, as it should be:

textarea, .bginput
{
background: ffffff;
color: #000000;
font: 10pt verdana, arial, helvetica;
}

Mine too. And, as I said earlier, it can be overridden anyway in a user stylesheet:

Can you explain to me how it works?

This forum is for NationStates business. If you want a primer in CSS, take it elsewhere. Google is your friend.
