My issues are twisting my words

I recently had an issue about meat eating and gypses. for those issues there were 3 choices. I picked the one in the middle for both.

For meat eating i decided that while meat eating should be allowed, there should be regulations in place that insure that the animals die in a fast humane fashion. Next day i look at my nation and it says meat eating is frowned upon.

Is this game retarded? The previous does not translate into the latter!

The same issue with the gypses. Just because i think that people should be allowed to kick people of their Private property doesn't mean that i don't want travellers. What the hell is worng with this game?

My decision had unintended consequences!

Yep, that'll happen. For one thing, see "Why is my nation so weird?" above. For another, pretty much every decision you make will involve a trade-off of some kind. It's kind of an exercise in choosing the best of a bunch of bad options. You might find this frustrating, especially if you're the kind of person who thinks the solutions to all the world's problems are obvious.

Yup! I got an issue about fixing traffic problems, and one of the options was to do road construction. When I took it, I got traffic problems BECAUSE of the road construction. *sigh* Unintended consequences indeed!

That is actually one of the goals of issues, to create unintended consequences.
