Idea to make UN Delegate less vulnerable to the winds of change

Hello everyone,

I am writing to suggest to the people who run NationStates to allow the Founder to set who the UN Delegate is for their region. The current system does assure the nation with the most endorsements is the rep, but for regions like my own (United Order), it makes it hard for the UN Delegate to get anything done when they could easily lose the post the next day. In my region's forum the UN Delegate has to run polls and discussion to see how the region as a whole feels about the resolution at hand. Our region has had a very good UN Delegate, but recently just lost the post right in the middle of a poll. I would like to be able to assign the delegate and run the election in my forum so that the Position can be held for 2 months like all my other elected positions. Is there any way to take the UN Delegate office back under control so as not to make for constant changing of the office on my forum.

Thanks

The founder is free to kick whoever they like at any point. If someone you don't want is about to become delegate, kick them. And set it up so that all UNs know they need to endorse/support the delegate, not others.

You could make a rule that UN nations can only have half the amount of endorsements that their Delegate has.
