Repealing of UN Resolutions Upon Leaving

I've recently left the UN because of dissatisfaction with a recently-approved resolution; but the question remains: when you leave, is there (or can there be) a mechanism to go back through and selectively (or wholesale, if need be) repeal UN resolutions that had been implemented within your NationState by UN Compliance?

Thanks in advance and sorry if this has been asked before (I did check the FAQs and didn't see it in either the Technical nor the UN FAQ).

There currently is no system like this set up. I'm not sure if they have something like this in planning though.

From the Game Mechanics perspective, if you enter the UN today with all those resolutions that have been passed and repealed throughout the UN's history, the net effect upon your nation's stats amounts to zero. How is this feat possible? Well, each passed resolution that you weren't in the UN to watch be passed has an effect upon your stats of zero so zero plus zero plus zero plus 150 more zeros is still zero.

Why should that be different when you leave the UN?

The only time the UN affects your stats is when a resolution passes and your membership is still in existance

One problem with the UN is, if a resolution messes up your economy and you later quit, the damage is still done. The only way I know of to reverse the damage is to vote on the right pro-economy issues when they come up.

OOC: Or to leave the UN, and hope that you get enough 'issues' with economy-boosting options...

Isn't that what he just said?

And this doesn't reflect real life.....how?

Let's say you're California and the UN is the United States Government. As your state passes various laws, the feds also pass various laws that go counter to what you want and creating problems that you are trying to combat - say poverty, homeless, and gay couples that can't get married. Eventually, you have a referendum and your population gives the feds the finger, seperating yourself from the US

Ok, Quebec might've been a better example, but bear with me.

Do you think that at the very point where you seperated from the US, all the problems that the US government caused for you? No. It takes time, good government, and plenty of changes to your legal system to fix all that has happened. This takes time, just as improving your economy in NS after it got blown away by the UN takes time. Considering this is a simulation game, I'd say.....seems like this kinda matches the entire purpose of the game.
