Sometimes after I log in and click on one of the sidebar links, Region, News, etc., the sidebar dissapears and i have to go back to the nationstates homepage and log in again to get it back, whats up?

Has to do with your login timing out. There's not really anything you can do aside from log in.

Actually, using the "back" button on your browser should suffice.

P&W IV: If you can, use the "remember me" option. Problem should disappear that way.
I never had this problem when I had only one nation. Then I started a puppet and discovered that having 2 "remember me's" does not work reliably - you get the last nation you set this for (apparently it uses only 1 cookie).
So I switched the remembers off, and now I have your problem too. And yes I can confirm it's a timeout problem (refreshing every 5? 10? 15? minutes prevents it). I cannot confirm that hitting "back" after timeout fixes it, but this may depend on browser type and/or sttings.

Oh, right, having auto-login enabled is important for my approach. If going back doesn't do the right thing, clicking on the same link again will. And I think it's 15 minutes.
