Is it possible to change flag?

And when you start a new country, is it possible to take a personnalised flag?

Yes. When logged into your nation, go to the Settings (http://www.nationstates.net/28883/page=settings) link on the left, and then go to create your own flag (http://www.nationstates.net/28883/page=upload_flag). Follow the instructions, and abide by the rules (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=438053).

It's probably worth mentioning now, before you design your flag, that it must be no larger than 10kb, about 107x71 pixels in size and in the JPEG format.

Well, I think it's slightly less than 10kb, it can actually be quite a bit larger than 107x71 - although overly large flags tended to be resized/deleted, and non-standard sizes look funny when reduced for regional/world displays - and PNGs and GIFs also work. But yes.

The information was taken from the 'create your own flag' section of the Settings page. I've always had my flag in the JPEG format, so I always assumed that this information was correct.

Gruenberg's information is more up to date. It's about 9.5k, we'd prefer no larger than 300x200, and his list of file extensions appears to be accurate.

Guess we should probably update that Settings page one of dese days.

When I first established my country, I used a custom flag (flag1), but since then I have decided to change it to another flag I made (flag2). The problem is when I upload flag2, flag1 will always show up instead. If I change it from flag1 to a pre-made flag, it changes to that flag without a problem, but no matter what, if I try to upload flag2 then flag1 will appear. How can I fix this?

It's most likely a caching issue. Trying forcing a refresh by pressing ctrl-F5 simultaneously.

Why together with ctrl? It refreshes here when you just click F5?

AFAIK, Ctrl+F5 forces a cache dump as well as refreshing the page. F5 by itself doesn't affect the cache.
