Names blocked by former nations

I have been randomly tried some names and found that a large number of names is simply blocked by "former nation" so I suggest that the names should not be permanently blocked.

So if a nation gets deleted for the reason that it has not been used for a certain time the name should be released
If a nation is deleted due to rule violations the name should be freed after a random time of 1 - 8 weeks

This would allow players to start Nations like (this I tested):
German States:
- Bavaria
- Saxony
Cities:
- Munich
- Frankfurt
- Hamburg
- Berlin
- Regensburg
or even small towns like:
- Berchtesgaden

but the same counts for a lot of other cities regions and countries
- Texas
- California
- Iraq
...

I see no reason in banning players from using these country names just because at some time in the history of this game someone played a nation of that name

People *do* return after their nations have died from inactivity. The cut off that was decided on for the release of nations was 18 months I believe. However, the planned release of names hasn't happened due to issues with Jolt.

If the nation is deleted due to rule violations... I'm not sure it's coming back at all.

Release of old names is on indefinite hold, due to the aforementioned Jolt issues.

Confirmed. Rulebreakers stay dead.

Can nation names be released if they just died from inactivity. Say, after a year or so?

There is no release planned until we get the tech problem solved. We've been chasing it for over a year (since it involves the interaction of NS systems and Jolt systems, it ain't easy) and we're still no closer to a solution.

If the admins sort it out eventually, count on an announcement.

One issue with assuming the name of an ex-user is that of impersonating the previous user of the ex-nation.
