This is odd...

Is it just me or has there been a bug in the game? All the sudden my government is "tiny" - it used to be "omnipresent before" and my taxes dropped from something like 90% to 9%. And all this withon ONE day.

A bug, perhaps?

Apparently your stats can change quickly sometimes. My economy went from imploded to good in just a few days.

How many issues did you answer? 5? It seems a little bit overall nation change not just one aspect -which indicates a fluke/bug- so I would say your safe.

It's not like I don't mind the changes... this has to be a bug. Mind you, a almost 80% drop in taxes. I really doubt there is any issue which could cause such a massive tax cut. Am I right or what?

... this has to be a bug.

How can you possibly know that? You don't know what the proper behavior is supposed to be. There's nothing wrong with the game, only your expectations.

Well. You might be right, thougn you'll have to admit that a "one-issue-caused-a-80%-tax-cut"-event is something VERY, VERY, VERY strange, don't you think?

Given that he's an admin with full access to the code, I think his thoughts on the matter are likely to be fully accurate.

Granted. So is this a bug or not?

Given that he's a mod, and that the admin said it is normal, I'd guess not.

From the Politics section of the FAQ:

"Why is my nation so weird?
Everything is exaggerated a little. Well, okay, a lot. Your decisions affect your nation very strongly, so your country might seem like a more extreme version of what you were aiming for. Unless you have radical politics. In which case you probably think nothing's wrong."

There you have it. Unlikely to happen in real life, but then, this isn't real life is it?
Out of curiosity, what issue was it, and what did you choose?

One of the folks in my region said there is a issue which cuts military spending to 0. I think I had that issued and made the appropriate choice. This would explain the hughe tax cut - considering Defence has been the Top 1 priority of my once bloated government...
