Can you simply post whatever military you want (SO LONG AS IT'S NOT GODMODDING)? Are there any rules beside mandatory conscriptment, the size of your nation and the like? Please help.

Moderators don't get involved in deciding sizes of military and such, but people that do roleplay will offer you lots of advice if you go too far in your estimates ;)
Try reading the stickies in II and NS to get a better idea of how to roleplay with militaries.

The general rule of thumb for military size is up to 5% for peace time, up to 10% during war.
