Is there a time limit on joining the UN?

I recently had one of my nations apply to the UN, partly to see if I could recieve the emails. I'm not yet ready to resign my current UN nation, but I may want to switch sometime. Does the validation link expire?

Shouldn't he have not been sent the e-mail if he has a current UN nation?

The way it works is that you can hit "sign up" for any nation that you have. The E-Mail is to confirm and actually put your nation INTO the UN. So as long as you resign with one nation, 24 hours later you can confirm another nation.

When I tried to sign up with a nation with the same email as my UN nation, I got a rejection TG. When I used a nation with a different email, I got an acceptance TG and the email. As I understand it, I'm safe as long as I don't click the link until my current UN nation resigns.

Yes, the validation link DOES expire. There's a limited number of UN spots, and depending on the number of people applying, your application will get bumped at some point.
