Confusion over Government Type

My nation is listed as a "Left-Leaning College State", which is fine, except is that the correct type for "Superb" civil rights, "Excellent" political rights, and an "All-Consuming" economy?

It very well could be. I've seen nations that were Democratic, yet their political freedoms were fairly low. If anything, it could be a very minor bug, or something that happens when nations don't completely update their UN categories when their freedoms are changed.
By the category freedoms you listed, you are very close to the Anarchy type government. Other possible categories you can expect include Civil Rights Lovefest.

See, that's what I thought. I was a Civil Rights Lovefest, and I'm trying to get to Anarchy.

Did I answer your question, or did I happen to make you more confused? :D

Yes. I notice that you have 100% tax, which tends to inhibit economic freedom. Thus, you need to make more pro-economic decisions to increase your economic freedom or strength. Likewise, increase political freedom (by giving 12-year-olds the right to vote, allowing people to elect the Supreme Court justices directly, &c.) and you will become Civil Rights Lovefest, then possibly Anarchy if you can get a Frightening economy.

Cool. Thanks
On a related note, I just noticed that my nation is labelled as a Corporate Bordello, whereas last I knew it was a New York Times Democracy. In the text it says that the nation is ruled by corporations which are elected by the citizens. I certainly don't recall enacting any such legislation and I'm wondering if this is a bug. Is there a way to view all my past legislation?

Only the last four.

Every single Corporate Bordello has that line, just like every single Anarchy has the blurb about motorcycle gangs.

I'm back to "Civil Rights Lovefest", but I don't seem to get economic questions more than once in a blue moon. Any way to make them more common?

Nope. Just keep waiting and they'll arrive eventually.

Perhpas in the distant future you guys could implement a system by which you can choose your form of goverment, that way somebody can make pro-economic choices wihtout ending up a capatilst pigdom. And there could be a period of anarchy between changes that makes it so you cant answer issues and changes your stats...just so nations don't change government type every day of the week.
Just an idea, taken from the Civilization games.

It should be remembered that the stats we see aren't the ones that actually determine our government type. What we see are some of the effects of the true statistics.

Ah. I still don't know how I got to Corporate Bordello though, I'm certainly not the most capitalist of persons, and that designation could probably get me drawn and quartered in my region (France :D ).
