I wa wondering, I have password protected my set of regions (I am no good with the terminology here yet) yet someone joined us without knowing the password so how is this possible? or does the password protect something else and not the fact that people can still join us?

Noone should be able to join a password protected region without knowing the password. Are you *sure* they didn't know the password? And that you had a password set?

I am sure yes and I have never seen this person before so no idea how they did it :(

I set a password and saved before I exited the screen so I must have done


edit: 'Dragonology Palace of Light' is there, check it out as I have changed the password for the second time today so I still have no idea how they got in :-S

Your region does in fact have a password that isn't shown to residents, so it's not a failure on our end. Chances are, one of your regionmates probably brought in one of his own puppets using the password as he remembered it. Obviously, that won't be happening again if you changed it.

As founder you can remove anyone from your region at will. Feel free to eject or eject/ban any interlopers.

There's two types of passwords a delegate/founder can set now. One is visible to residents and the other is not. And it does get shown on the region page to the residents if it's available.

This was done to eliminate the requirement to telegram the password to all 'natives', one of the most oft-broken rules of invasions. If the Show password to residents checkbox is checked, anyone resident in the region can see it. Anyone passing through to read the messageboard cannot.

For those of you who are neither founders or delegates, Regional Control now looks like this:

Seems someone already in the region created a new place and didn't tell me *tut* as well no harm done :cool:
