I don't think I'd be able to live with this forever but a change every now and than would be very nice. Think of it as the google themes ;-) Although with valentine being long time gone and easter being here something yellow-ish would be more appropriate ;-)

I feel that the NationStates webiste manager has needlessly brought on this colour change that will undoubtedly cause mass controversy among nations. Why was there need for a change? The former colour scheme was adequate at the least, but this colour scheme is folly. If this change is not reversed, then I will seriously consider leaving NationStates.

The whole way this was done is a little irritating. In fact I thought my browser had been hijacked by spam and taken me to another site. I'm all for Max promoting his new book but a little prior notice would have been nice.

Last year's consisited of this page: http://www.nationstates.net/hws.html popping up when you first came to the site. I found it quite amusing, especially the 1984 reference. Today's prank has a quite a bit more involovement, which I like.

As for the pink, it's a nice change. ^^

What's with the stargate symbol?

you know why they have the pink, right? Theyre turning this into a dating site. Read the "news" section, theyre running out of cash so theyre making this a dating/nation-controlling site. I would be ok with it if it were like a decoration for approaching holidays, but monoplizing us by using our political opionions for monetary gain just isnt nice. By the way, how many people are (like me) are just doing this for what kinds of interesting nations they can create not based on thier own opionions (they are matching similar nations). Also, Is anyone here in a relationship, or too young to date? not to mention, they dont know our genders or sexual orentation.

Next time there's an April Fools' joke, everyone should get an extra issue related to the theme (which wouldn't have any actual impact). I'm not sure what you'd do for this one.

OK, I would like to know whom my people can pay their "nuclear" respects to for "blessing" my nation with a [CENSORED] less-than-red sky. The [CENSORED] who dreamed this up is one sick [CENSORED] and needs to have his / her [CENSORED] in full public view.

The NationDates survey was nice though ... are you guys able to keep track of which nations are being recommended to others, as that would actually be *interesting* to see.


I knew I shouldn't have logged onto the game today ... though if we get another color scheme, I'd like to humbly suggest that blue, black, and white are obviously a logical and pleasing choice.

See, there actually is a "Department of Homeworld Security" in Stargate SG-1... I see that Max Barry and co. decided to make the obvious addition to the Homeworld Security symbol...

I should note that I like the NationStates green... nevertheless, the April Fools joke easily makes up for the loss of green. :)

I like the old colours the way they were. However, I like the idea of the whole NSDate thing. Even though it matched my main nation up with The Lowland Clans and one of my puppets with a different one of my puppets. LOL

Either put it back to the white, or set up a few schemes and let people pick one from their settings page. That way pinkos can have their pink or red backgrounds, while Techies like me can have black, and everyone can just pick a colour and everyone can be happy.

I'm not much of a pink fan, but I must admit, seeing some new color to the site really does appeal to me. Its always nice to see some change. After the pink let's try maybe a blue or green.

Darker color with lighter text so it's easier on the eyes. Staring at a lightbulb rate sucks.

I realized that it was a joke about 3 seconds after the main NS page loaded. I was just trying to make a point. (and larger text stands out to people who aren't reading every post). My post was a semi-joke itself.

I'm not a big pink fan. However, I do like Pink. Especially "Just Like A Pill." ;)
