rankings: brackets vs. places
i find the whole place thing a little annoying because it doesn't give me a very good idea of where i stand compared to other countries. i would like to see the positions based more on a comparison of like policies, taxes, economic, political, and civil ranks. For example, instead of being in (10,000th) highest place for (taxes). You are in the (2nd) bracket for the highest taxes. (3,000) other people are also in this bracket. Although this might make the computation a little harder on the survey, since the rankings are only done once a day, i don't think this would create problems (like upgrading sooner). i may be wrong though.

I don't see the point of this. Just go to The World option on the upper part of the sidebar and it'll tell you the amount of nations at the moment:
The world contains 117,914 nations in 14,618 regions.
This way, if you're 10,000th in a specific survey, you can get a feel of where you stand.
no. i would want brackets to tell me how many people have similiar ideas on that topic, and by how much the next groups differ. another choice would prossibly be giving averages...but that would be a pain and require a formula that i surely wouldn't want to figure out since i'm lazy.

Actually, it would be quite easy to do. It's still not going to happen.
yeah. i figured that it wouldn't happen regardless. it's just an interesting idea and something that i think would make it easier to compare nation styles.
