WELCOME TO NATIONSTATES

This is an interesting question. Might I help you on this for a moment. You have several choices when it comes to the creation of an army for your nation. Please note that there are many different tech levels used in NS, and some don't interact well with others. Amoung these tech levels is Future Tech, Near Future Tech, Post Modern Tech, Modern Tech, Past Tech, and Fantasy Tech. I might have left some out though, so don't quote me on this.

1. One of these choices is to develop your own weaponry based on whatever you feel you need. Some people use real life weaons, some create their own froms scratch, some go with weapons from television shows and others pull random stuff out of thin air.

2. Your second choice is to use some already created "Storefront's" to purchase weaponry. Now most storefronts need you to use what is called a GDP Calculator to do business with them and these storefronts that want you to use the Calculator require you to have a Defene Budget or they won't do business with you. The most popular two GDP Calculators that i've heard of is NSEconomy (http://nseconomy.thirdgeek.com/) (doesn't work for large regions) and NSTracker (http://nstracker.retrogade.com/). They tell you what your current budgets are based on statistics recieved from your NS Data Page. There is a list of Storefronts made by HotRodia, the thread is called The Handy Dandy Storefront List (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=380381). Check that for the tech level, and the weapons that are right for you.

NOTE: Just a note before I let ya go, all words (except the big red ones) that are underlined in this thread are links, click on them to go to that web site. Have a nice day and have some Good RPing!

Yeah it does, you just have to get tricky. Just go to:

http://nseconomy.thirdgeek.net/nseconomy.php?nationstring=NATIONNAME&nation=NATIONNAME

(replace both NATIONNAME s with the name of your nation)

(thanks to Rolatia for teaching me that)
