Venezuela has adopted a new national flag. Do we bother with changing them on here?

Better wait to see whether they keep it - a lot of people in Venezuela aren't that happy about it.

If NationStates is changed to reflect the flag, it should be done so as not to effect existing nations (who might not want their flags updated) - instead the nation settings flag menu should use a different filename for the new Venezuelan flag.

For what I imagine to remember from the change of Rwanda's flag (meaning, I couldn't find the thread right away), there won't be new flags added to the flag database in anytime soon. There are some flags that weren't covered by default when the flags were uploaded on the drop down menu either.

It's fairly easy to find a flag of the country you want to use for your nation so there's no harm done with couple old or missing flags. CIA's factbook (http://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/) is a good place to start if you know how to resize the images. Unless you settle for a smaller flag size, that is also found from the same site.

Thanks to our flag upload policy, you can have any flag that you want (within the rules, of course). There have been several changes in RL flags in the last 3 years, but we're leaving the flag files alone.
