Old, Unused Names
The Isle of Skye

Any updates on when these will be released to the General NS population? There are plenty of names that I wanted before this one. Not a single name is currently in use.
I even took "THE Isle of skye" over "Isle of Skye." I know tech issues are a problem, and I know these things take time. I was just wondering if there was a timetable for completion or if this has been tabled indefinitely.
Thanks.

No timetable. It all revolves around getting our registration system to work with Jolt's registration system, and we just havent' been able to get all the parties sitting down together. It's high on the list, but there's no date for an end.

If and when there is any progress on the matter, will the general NS population be notified?
I'm still waiting for the Kingdom of Daventry. So help me God if I don't get that.

Like Fris said, it's towards the top of the to-do list. Hopefully having a new admin to abus^H^H^H^Henlist the services of, we'll be able to figure out what's wrong and get it to work right.
As for notification, I'm not sure how that will work. It will probably just be an announcement that names are starting to be released.
And don't feel bad, I've had my eye on a certain dead nation for awhile now...

Awww, man. I don't want to deal with Jolt.
Anyway, supposing it wouldn't take months to get even a preliminary response, I can't think of a good solution to the problem. Do we delete all of the posts from the old nation? Or rename them? Maybe it's best to give the new nation a different name on the forums. On the NS side, do we have to worry about nation harvesters creating new nations as soon as old ones cease to exist? Wouldn't this be used to impersonate other users? What happens if someone wants a nation revived whose name is in use?
