I applied to join the UN yesterday, and today at 9:46 GMT I received a mail that I have been accepted. A little more than a hour later, I opened the mail. It said I should either use the attachment (which was corrupted) or copy a line and paste it into the URL. I tried that, so that my URL then looked like

http://www.nationstates.net/join_un.cgi/nation=sevenglasses/id= (big number)

Nothing happened. What mistake did I make? I have re-applied after the failure, and I guess that means I have to wait for the next acceptance mail.

Some emails systems chop (bignumber) onto two lines. If you didn't grab the whole thing and put it back together the way we sent it, it wouldn't work.

I re-applied and got another acceptance email now. It also doesn't work now. The id has 7 digits, and the line isn't broken in two. However, after the id there's nothing in the mail; maybe not only the attachment is corrupted, but the latter parts of the mail, too...

EDIT: strange, now using the attachment worked... yesterday, it corrupted the mail. Thanks for your help.
