Using Greek characters in Motto.

This may seem an odd question to be asking, but is it possible to use greek characters in a nations motto. Many nations use Latin for their mottos, and I would like to use Ancient Greek mottos in mine. If this is possible, then please tell me how I can do it. If it isn't, then thanks anyway and maybe you could consider this as a suggestion.
Thanks very much,

With a Windows PC(95-2000) , start off with
Start, Programs (or All Programs), Accesorries.
Then look for Charachter map.

With a Windows XP computer, you have to go to the following area
Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools and the Character Map is in there.

Be forewarned... if you use non-standard letters (even including such things as ö) the IE XML viewer will fail. You can save the XML still, but you cannot view it. (Firefox is uneffected)

That sounds like a reason to do it if ever I've heard one.

Is there any way to fix the IE glitch Pythagosaurus? I mentioned it to Salusa Secondus a while ago, he had too much on his platter to deal with it.
If you view http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/nationdata.cgi/nation=Deleted_Nation with both IE and Fx, Fx displays it fine... you get the following in IE:
The XML page cannot be displayed
Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.
------------------------------------------------------------------
An invalid character was found in text content. Error processing resource 'http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/nationdata.c...
<MOTTO>Oberster Kaiser von Gel
For the record, the line it will not parse reads:
<MOTTO>
Oberster Kaiser von Gelöscht-Nation, Adolph W. Strauss
</MOTTO>
As you can see, it is the "ö" which causes IE to break. If you use "view source" you can read the XML, but without being able to parse the data in IE causes some problems for nation-display websites...
This problem also exists on a regional scale, if you put an ümlat in the RMB, IE cannot parse the region's data.

Except for some FireFox issues with CSS, but that's another matter.

Firefox issues with CSS? Ha. Ha ha. Hee hee ho ho. ...
IE is the bane of every web developer's existence when it comes to CSS. I have only ever encountered two problems with firefox.

Oh, and about the IE problem with the XML, I don't know if I'd be able to fix that (besides converting non-ANSI characters to html entities). I don't know why you want to view the XML in a web browser, anyway.

You would want to do that as some JAVA XML parsers run in IE... if the data does not show right in IE, the JAVA goes balls up.
(Oh, sidenote... the annoying thing about Fx... the "blink" tag is live)

Yes, that's the same problem. I try to make my sites work in all browsers, and IE always gets in the way. I write valid, correct CSS and strict html, and IE misplaces a floating div and screws up all of the margins on the page. How can I get something to work in all browsers if one (very popular) browser refuses to follow the web standards?
Oh, I forgot to mention hasLayout. That's another one for the google list.

nope that doesnt work, it looks fine when you first type it in, but when you look at your nation page it just comes out as a series of numbers.

What about currency? I have tried inserting the Greek Letters into my nation motto and it has come out as this: "Join the μυ today!"
It was meant to be the letters Mu and Upsilon.
I also tried it for my currency, but it said not to use nonstandard letters or punctuation, which is fair enough. Annoying though. I'l maybe just put the μυ in my flag.
