I'm not getting the e-mail from the UN. I use AOL, but I'm not even getting it in my spam filter. What gives?

AOL is the problem.

It doesn't put all spam in the spam filter: some of it deletes before it even arrives. In other words, you will never get it, even in your spam folder. It seems it's identified the NS emails as spam, because there are often complaints about this.

I suggest setting up a quick Hotmail/Yahoo/something else account, and using that for the purposes of getting the UN email.

Just set up a new email account: try Hotmail (http://www.hotmail.com) or Yahoo (http://www.yahoo.com). There are many instances of people complaining about AOL, and I've never seen an alternate solution proposed.

I prefer to recommend Gmail to Hotmail. We've had some lost email to Hotmail addresses as well, but Gmail and Yahoo seem to perform just fine.

I've got a few dozen Gmail invites if anyone wants them. All I need is your nationname if you have an email addy in your nation.

AOL has some silly rules about what mail it accepts. It won't accept anything from the version of sendmail I used to use on my laptop (easier than changing e-mail settings all the time, but now I just use webmail). The problems with UN e-mails are probably related to that.
