I just think that the image size that we can submit would be better if it was 15kb instead of 10. It sucked not getting to put what I really wanted on the flag.

I have seen some very impressive flags at 10KB and see no real reason to increase it.

Try GIF. I think that's smaller. But then again, I never bothered proving...

If you have a "noisy" flag (one with lots of colors) .JPG is smaller.

If you have a "simple" flag (like mine... simple geometric shapes, few colors) .GIF is smaller.

You can likely find a free .GIF optimizer online if you dont have PSP or APS.

Question for the powers that be... are .PNG uploadable? I haven't tried.

For those that do not know, .PNGs are similar to .GIFs, but smaller, and cannot be animated (and for users of IE, cannot be made transparent).

I tried a .png. It didn't work. 64x42, 542b. So I don't think they work.
