'Message too short'?

On certain threads when I try to post I receive a message telling me that my post must be at least 1 character long. Although this only occurs on some threads, I dont understand why. I always check that I've written more than 1 character and that I'm pressing the right button but nothing works.
Can anyone help me?

If you're typing in quotes, code, or HTML, I think it won't recognize it. I know on the old version it wouldn't recognize in quote, dunno bout this newer one.
The quote part has gotten me a few times as I've tried to send an 'official communication' or whatever. I get around it by doing a 1-2 line RP of the people sending the reply, or maybe a response to the last post or whatever.

Correct. If you want, you can just write a couple letters, symbols, or numbers at the bottom of your post, outside of any code tags, and it should work.

It's only quote balloons that cause a problem. Typically, I put a period inside a pair of color=white tags. Example on next post.
