Can anything be done to limit the time it takes for UN membership to be sent via e-mail for those who will come after me? I mean, the Forum formal registration reaches one's e-mail almost instantly, but the UN takes for ever. And if it's just there to be a joke about slow bureuacracy, it gets old REALLY REALLY OLD VERY VERY QUICKLY. It's also just plain anoying, especially if you accidently resign and then have to wait to get back in again.

Yes, there should be a way of speeding up this process. The first time I made an account with NS I left before I got my e-mail because the game took so long to get fun.

It should usually only take a day, maybe 2 for your UN application to go through. If you haven't gotten it by then, it usually turns out to be an issue with someone's email provider.

Yes, but none the less, why does it have to take so long?

I believe it has to do with making it harder to quick-switch your UN membership in invasions.

Actually, it doesn't make it any harder. Defenders and invaders can hold multiple puppets with UN applications that are ready for one click to be activated. As long as you use different emails, you can have a ton of applications out.

As long as only 1 application is actually activated, then you have just one UN Nation.

But it makes them have to plan ahead, thereby making invasions harder.

No it doesn't. It has to do with the way that the system is built. Any delay past a day or two is from your email systems filtering the UN application email out. (Or a incorrect email address, etc.)

But why the time delay? Registration e-mails go instantaniously from one place to another. Why does it take a "day or two"?

At one stage I thought Mods had to study CERTAIN UN applications, like some from a certain region, etc.

Now I know.:)
