UN voting question

I have just gained UN status. I had previously had UN status with another nation, with which I voted on the resolution. I decided to transfer across, so I resigned, applied, and joined. Now I found I was able to vote on the resolution with this nation too. Is the vote from my previous nation discounted? Otherwise, it would be quite a problem.

Yes, I'm pretty sure your vote is only counted if you are in the UN at the end of the vote. It should be dropped as soon as you drop UN status.

Ok, thanks. I thought it would be something like that, but just checking.

Are you sure?

I've seen proposals endorsed by former UN Delegates ... and thus have reason to believe that the UN keeps endorsements and *maybe* votes up until the UN update. The question in my mind is "Does the UN update, adjust vote totals and endorsement totals?"

On the flip side, when I've watched UN votes, they tend to end at about the same totals as just prior to the mini UN update / end of voting period -- which would imply that there is an auto update (like you've suggested) or that you can double vote.

My understanding is that while individual votes disappear when a nation resigns, the delegate vote has to wait until the next update before vanishing.

Votes are an accurate reflection of the UN membership at the time the polls officially close (during update, that is). The displayed vote totals may not be accurate prior to update, as Enn is correct about the timing on delegate replacement.

Real time totals just aren't practical the way the game is set up, but the final tally is correct. Sorry, but that'll have to do.

Curiousity question then. If a UN proposal ends at a major update, and during that update the UN delegate changes, is it possible to know which delegate's vote would count?
