I am a TOTAL and COMPLETE newbie at this whole NationStates deal, and I would like to start up my first 'war' RP from a thread of mine I started.

:headbang: (heres the link: http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=454756 ):mp5:

Could everyone please enlighten the newbie on what the difference of CLOSED, OPEN and SEMI-CLOSED or SEMI-OPEN wars. I understand the names themselves, but how do I define what is each?

I know what closed means- only those in the war can perticipate, I know what Open is- anyone can enter.. what what are the SPECIFIC GUIDELINES to what each is and how I define my rp 'war'... thanks a billion...

Usually CLOSED means the RP has been set up elsewhere and don't ask to be included. OPEN means just that anyone can join as long as they fit into the RP -- if it is a future tech RP don't join with fantasy or if it is modern tech don't use future tech.

SEMI-OPEN SEMI-CLOSED usually means ask for an invite and there is usually an OOC or out-of-Character thread where you can ask to be invited.

My two cents.

Hi... I have a similiar question.. I did know of the Open/closed thing before but when I came to these forums was the first time I had ever seen the acronym 'FT' used... the only thing I could determine what it meant was First Time... but really I have no idea

Thanks

EDIT: Just workled out that FT mean Futuristic.. ie Spaceships... :)

Though you edited (Bazalonia being the 'you(r)' in this case) your post, I suppose it's still worth mentioning that FT technically equals 'Future Tech' - not necessarily spacedyships.
