Second time in two weeks. It's the end times I tells ya.

Seems like it's only the second time in the last two weeks I've had a problem. Haven't been on too much this week, though. Any word on when it might be working again? These downtimes kill Feliz Meal sales.

yes this is getting crazy now. How can we take this seriously when the game keeps going down.

It's not the same sort of problem. The past week/two weeks or so, the problem was the fora, not the game itself. This time, it's the game (in other words, our inability to log in to access our countries). And it's only happened today as far as I can tell.

A) It's a game. You're not supposed to be taking it seriously.

B) You're getting more than you're paying for.

C) We'd love 100% uptime, but obviously we can't control what happens at the host server. For all we know, a car ran into their power pole. It's not like getting this game back up takes priority over getting hospital patients back on their life support.

Exactly guys, listen to the Mods.

I've been playing this game since October 2003, and its gone down like that many times. Could be anything, power cuts, someone tripping over a wire etc. Nothing we can do about it. Takes a day, usually, to fix. Its like any other internet site that messes up, a day or two later and its fine. To my knowledge this is the first error like this for a good while, the forum is another matter.

LOL, considering that we are not paying at all, I guess we aren't in position to complain about anything. Still, it would be nice to see NationStates back online... *sigh*

Ugh, just as my region is experiencing a boom in people the server crashes...
Ah well, I can still roleplay fully and such - it's in my opinion not as bad as the crashes in the forums, which basically veto the most interesting, creative and useful part of NationStates

Hehe... Indeed.

A question, if I may. I created a nation (puppet) barely hours before NS crashed. Will it have been deleted? And, if so, can I recreate it (with the same name, of course)?

How come everytime NS crashes someone has to write a thread on it, stating it has crashed even though we can all see it's crashed?!

Reminds me of the South Islands line: 'I can see a chair!'

My guess is that yes, you probably will have to recreate it.
I'm in the same situation - I created a diplomacy puppet for my region (Albion Diplomacy) this morning.

I really wouldn't guess. We don't know yet, and idle speculation helps no one. Let's wait and see what's what when the dust settles.

Think of it this way:

Gives everyone a chance to get back to RL stuff....but when you ACTUALLY have free time, thats another matter.

Well, as long as it doesn't tell us the name's already taken because we've already created it once...

Ah well, we'll see when NS is working again. Thanks. :)

Actually, it is a good idea that a thread is created. All anyone can see is that it does not work on their computer. By putting up a thread, we can see that it is not on our end, that we are not the only ones with a problem, but that it is the server end, that everyone is having a problem.
