When ever I try to access someones user page, it fails and shows some error page. Whats up?

This may be a jolt problem, but I've noticed that the public profiles of any user do not work.

Is there a reason for this?

It's a Jolt thing. They were dealing with one problem, and the solution took out the profiles. I iimagine Jolt admins are researching a fix.

Apparently, whatever solution they had also took out "Who's Online"

Am I the only NSer to use that?

Without going into any detail, we discovered a security hole.

Does this mean that I'm not the only one that can't access their profile from using their own username link, when trying to get at their own posts?

If so, then how and when do we access our old posts then, and where can we castrate the schmucks that are trying to mess up everyone elses fun tht caused this action?

You can't access profiles by clicking on a person's name. You can access your own profile by clicking on the profile button in the top left. I know of no way to successfully look at someone else's profile.

There's a profile tab above where it displays the forums that seems to work for me. It will show you your subscibed threads, and if you rummage through the options enough, there will be an option to subscribe automatically to threads you post in.

As far as castration goes...I personally would like to castrate whoever brought down "Who's Online." :D

Well basically for me the Player Profile dealie running off nations name isnt working. :(
If one (namely me)wants to check for what threads a person has started its rather inconvienient!

Does anyone else have this problem?
Are you aware of it?
Will it be fixed?

Cheers.

Stickied to minimize the number of new topics about this known issue.

Well, apparently it's more than just IE that's affected, since I'm typing this message with FireFox right now. And considering how long since my last post in here, it seems a problem with no short, quick fix. Trying to access my old posts through the Profiles won;t work with FireFox either, and can guess that 'all' browser types are affected, unless told otherwise by other users of non-IE browsers.

In essence, which makes it very hard for users that are away for any decent amount of time for any reason, to get back to old posts, as long as this state of affairs lasts.

Everything works just like it always did, with the exception of being able to view others' profile settings. While it is not as convenient, functionality has not been removed.

You still have 100% access to your own profile and subscribed threads via the http://assets.jolt.co.uk/forums/nation_states/top_profile.gif button, and you can search for posts by others using the http://assets.jolt.co.uk/forums/nation_states/top_search.gif button. Was there something else that was on the profile page that doesn't work anymore?

I too am using Firefox. Although I agree that there has been no access to others' profiles for some time (known problem), I have had full access to their prior posts the entire time. Any time I want to see my old posts or anyone else's old posts, I just click on their name and use the old posts link. It works for me every time. I can't get to the threads they've strarted, but access to the posts seems to be more than what many here are able to achieve (unless I'm misunderstanding your posts).

Ah. The profiles part.

Yeah. That part's broken. They're working on it. Hopefully.

You shouldn't. It is a known problem, and they are working on a solution. Bugging them about it gets nothing done.

This is so inconvenient. Whenever I want to ignore someone, I have to copy-paste their name into my ignore list rather than just clicking a link. :p

Sorry to bump this if it should not have been, but since it has been almost 2 months since the problem began, I was wondering if the Jolt Development team has said anything about a fix, or the progress thereof.
