For those who can't get logged into forum... I ended up doing this... go to the forum (logged out if you must, like me...) and click Forgot Password? link and put in the email you registered w/... it'll send you a thing w/ the forum username, and a link to reset password... go in, reset it... it'll email you a new, randomly created password, login with that and change it to your p/w for your nation... worked for me! :D

Though I know it's likely that it wont work for everyone... the suggestions I got from diff mods and what not didn't get me anywhere... finally tried this and it works...

That's how I got on, but oddly enough, Jolt will not send an e-mail to reset the password for my main nation. I get a message for every puppet, but not my main, Luna Amore. Anyone know the cause of that?

I could access the forum that way, but it wouldn't let me login, even w/ the correct username and password... had to reset mine...

Odd, all I did was click the link in NS, then remove the nsredirect thingy to access the jolt forums, then clicked on the NS seciton and logged in with my nationname and password and it worked fine for me. Though I have to keep typing in the login and pass each time.

After ONE week of not being able to access the Forum through either my homepage, or jolt.uk.com, I followed your instructions and they worked like a charm!!

I had a few fellow Canucks (thanks Steph and Dobbs) helpin me out but everything I tried failed.

I sent two detailed emails to the admins but I didn't get a single reply. Thank God I could access my NS telegrams and that I had a few topics bookmarked in favourites or I would not have been able to contact anyone nor view the Forum.

I followed your instuctions to the letter, and YEA, I can post again.

That's because they prefer you to use Getting Help. I've been slamming out responses to such queries multiple times a day. Some of them work fine, others don't, but there is nothing the admins can do. It's a Jolt coding issue, and it's gonna take a Jolt coder to fix it.

You could just change you passwords to be the same things, I did it, works fine.

I can't promise you that it will continue to work after Jolt fixes things. There is password syncronization code built into NS that coordinates with Jolt. If you start using manual Jolt logons and password changes, chances are high you'll be stuck with that once the nationpage link is fixed. I'd avoid the password changes if I were you.

I thought about that too... but then again, it's either wait for God knows when to be able to use the link and login (which so far I think has been over a week now) or do this and be able to use/post on forums...

You can also Google "Nationstates Forum" and that works or go through NSwiki.

I can get on now but it won't let me start a thread. Any ideas out there? Telegram me in case I can't find this again.

We know about the problem with the drop down menus. It's taken out our mod tools too, and apparently at random places and times. It's all part of the Jolt upgrade, which unfortunately has nothing to do with us either. They've been made aware of our problems, nd that's about all we can do.

In the meantime, you can start new threads with the http://assets.jolt.co.uk/forums/nation_states/buttons/newthread.gif button in the upper left, can't you?.
