Is there any way to alter the amount of time before I get kicked off,

since I absolutely refuse to use cookies and other such stuff

for anything I do online, no matter how completely harmless they
may be.

Currently I am on for maybe 10 minutes max.
Then suddenly I am not logged in any more.

Damn carp cookies.

No, there isn't.

Since you refuse to allow cookies, there's no way for the website to recognize you for an extended period of time. And since the cookies NS uses are harmless, it's rather like cutting off your arm because you got a hangnail.

I allow cookies, and seem to get booted off at random intervals...any idea what might be going on there? Only a minor issue, though.

In your case, it's just because we don't like you.

... kidding ...

Jolt mangles my [unread marks] cookies with some regularity. I'm constantly having to log out and back in again, usually right when GMT clicks over to a new date. Given the sheer size of this organization, I'm inclined to think that some of the cookies associated with given nations are occassionally corrupted ... and they stay that way. Removing my local copies doesn't resolve the problem, so I'm guessing it's server-side corruption.

It happens. We get to deal with it.

But I already knew that. ;)

Hmm. Fair enough. It's only a minor annoyance...occasionally irritating when attempting to post something large, and fearing it will be wiped from the cache, but that's all. Guess i'll survive. :)
