"Reserved" Nations

I've been trying to create another nation but all of the names I would like to use are taken by former nations. Couldn't this be fixed? What chance is there that these nations' former owners will return? It's there even for inactive users, because I looked up an old nation of mine and it's still on there. Would it be possible to remove this name-reserving and free up more names? At least for those dead nations that are more than six months or a year old? I don't want to have to use underscores and punctuation marks in my nation name :headbang:

I believe they are made aviable after some time... a long time (think in years).

There is code to accomplish this in the works, but since Max needs to sign off on all approvals and since he's a new father, he's kinda busy...

As I recall, the plan was to make them available after eighteen months have passed without a resurrection request since the deletion for inactivity.

We'll be happy to give you back your old nations. Just submit a Getting Help request, category "nation restoration". That would be one former owner back in the fold.

I was just using that as an example, I'm happy with the nation I have, I wanted to create another one so I could attempt to have a democratic nation (my nation right now is a Dictatorship :( ) and also for purposes of my NSWiki.

Of course, any nation that was deleted for any wrong doings will probably not become available nor be brought back to life. :)
